Assembly & Usage
- Manometers and vacuum gauges and pressure/vacuum gauges are usually equiped with a connecting terminal (4-6 sided) and are to be assembled with a fitting key.
- For a clear end correct reading the manometer has to be placed in a shockfree environment and if necessary the manometer had to be filled with liquid.
- Manometers etc. have to be vertically assembled. Other forms of assembly can only be possible if the calibration is taken into account.
- With a constant demand, the permitted pressure will be ¾ of the setpoint. With varying demands a maximum of 2/3 of the setpoint will be permitted.
- When messuring with extreme high temperatures, like steam for example, it will be necessary to fill the syphonpipe with water. Please prolong the conductor to cool down the the gauge when the syphonpipe is not sufficiant to reduce the lukewarm watertemperature. (See DIN 16255).
- Please reduce the fluctuation to a minimum by use of a special nut.
- Manometers etc. should be free of radiant heat. Temperatures higher than 80 C are not allowed.
- Manometers with connection terminals which hold ¼ of ½ BSP-wiring are flat at the base and are suitable for sealing the base. One can use smooth or profiled rings for sealing.
- To prevent damage on the synthetic lined underparts use a swivel head of a drawing stocking.
- When using an agressive or poisonous medium please take extra care when assembling.
- Pressure gauges used for OXYGEN must be recognized immediately by mandatory markings on dial and have to have been tested with air. This is also the case with ACETYLENE.
- Furthermore one has to be sure that the following are oil- and greasefree: measering points, packing rings and termination rings.
- When not using the manometers etc. please store in a dustfree and clean area.
- Please store the manometers etc. in a dry and frostfree environment (minimum –5 C and maximum 30 C).
