Calibration of a pressure gauge

It is key for all processes to be able to rely on your manometer. By calibrating your pressure gauge, we test if it is working correctly. At EMVO Techniek, we dispose of a fully automated calibration system. It compares the error margin of your pressure gauge to an accurate measuring instrument. By checking several values in the measuring range of your manometer, including the zero point and the maximum value, we test your pressure gauge for errors. If we do find an error margin bigger than the pressure gauges’ class indicates, an intervention is necessary. Is everything working correctly? We always send you a calibration report along with your manometer, containing all our findings and relevant data. Controlling authorities require such a report in most cases.

Why test your pressure gauge

It is essential for the correct working, to periodically test your pressure gauge by calibrating it. If your manometer fails to measure correctly, not only the process in which it is applied can be disrupted; it might cause damage to machines or even people. This will cause a lot of extra costs, but more importantly: it is potentially dangerous to the people in the surrounding area. A pressure gauge is also exposed in many cases to vibrations, sudden pressure peaks and mechanical tensions. That may also influence the working of the instrument. There is legislation that may oblige you to periodically test and calibrate your pressure gauge. With our calibration report, you can show the authorities that you comply with the rules and legislation.
